CNC Building Blocks
The CNC Building Blocks project was promoted on Kickstarter on Jan 1st until Feb 15, 2011. A goal of $10,000 was set to develop a set of Injection molded plastic CNC components that would allow for quick and inexpensive design and construction of CNC machines. The goal was met in XX days and reached a final funding level of $36xxx. The project was unable to be accomplished as expected due to complications with an overseas' injection molding company. The project developer lost approximately $30,000 on tooling and spent over $10,000 extra to develop CNC Building Blocks 2.0, a higher quality CNC machined aluminum version of the plastic injection molded parts.
The new aluminum CNC Building Block components are available from the A Quick CNC store.
